Don't judge this so harshly... (by mikeonline-74484) |
Look... so many of the other reviews slam this movie so hard, it's as if they were strapped down and forced to watch it. I doubt that was the case, so don't be so butt-hurt.The reason anyone watches flicks like these is simple: you have some time to kill and you are looking to be entertained. You know these movies are not going to be Oscar material, so don't climb up on your high-horse to condemn it. You were actually expecting a serious heist movie? shame on you. plus, this movie isn't really about the heist at all .You were actually expecting a serious movie of any kind? <more> |
Cormanesque heist flick (by mtthwvrnr) |
It's like a Die Hard knock off, but Bruce Willis is a serial killer. These reviewers discount the effort a good Die Hard rip-off takes. Henry Rollins is John McLane sic, maybe with air vents included. Alas, we don't see him crawling through with witty one- liners but you get the idea. If you've seen the New World/Corman produced heist flicks from the 1990's you know what you've got here. One star reviewers need to get off their cinematic high horses and stop taking cinema so seriously. This was a great waste of time. Better than an episode of Criminal Minds! |
Budget flick done right! (by cekadah) |
Evil upon evil in a bank robbery gone very wrong. Director: Mike Mendez and Writer: Guy Stevenson offer up a good mix of tension, suspense, horror, and mystery in a setting that slowly becomes a bloody mess! The bank robbers are out witted by a more sinister and conniving force they did not plan on in their well planned out bank heist.I read some of the other reviews here and I disagree with their low rating and opinions. This may be a low budget movie but I found the plot contagious and the suspense thrilling. Yes it's bloody and full of gore but what horror movie would be a horror movie <more> |
Destined to be low budget horror classic (by glenrose-04502) |
I had a good time watching this film. All one needs to do is go into it with the right attitude. I think it's destined to be a camp classic. I read all the bad reviews and I think they are trying to compare with David Cronenberg or Quentin Tarantino type high budget, horror thrillers. The plot and story line moves along quite nicely and keeps you waiting for things to unfold while getting some gory laughs along the way. The idea of mixing a serial killer with bank robbers is intriguing and creative. It's not a $100 million dollar budget film and I think they did a darn good and <more> |
Corny, lousy but so exciting (by searchanddestroy-1) |
Please, don't watch this very very bad films with the same eyes - no trick word - you should have for a grade A picture. This is a grade Z film, with a cigarette pack budget. So please be indulgent. This is badly directed and acted. But I found this totally crazy story very exciting and unpredictable. That's precisely because of this I love this film. I far prefere this film to many other Hollywood big budget films. No heroes here, no good guys against evil dudes scheme. That's my own opinion. |
