Disney's Sequel to the Jungle Classic (by ja_kitty_71) |
As far as I'm concerned, this film and the original films are two totally and completely different things and I love both of them; I am not one to compare. I thought the animation was excellent and the songs are alright too.I love the movie opening, when Mowgli was telling his new family and new best friend, Shanti, about his former life in the jungle through a puppet show. As he gets to the part where he fought Shere Khan, the ferocious tiger, Ranjan decides to put his own twist on the story and in doing so, manages to destroy the set and embarrass Shanti in the process. Hi all,I saw this film with my friends aged 3-10 . They all got excitement whenever the Ranjan character comes into the picture. I like his background voice. It's too nice.... All the children appreciated and they enjoyed lot with that character..... I wish you to perform well in your future movies....Thanks again Mr. Ranjan.......we all are waiting for your next movie. If it is there anything kindly let me know. I like the character Shanthi , it's a positive character for this cartoon movie. Here the guy's are started to sing the "Jungle Rhythm" song. Refreshingly good sequel (by kieranwright) |
From the outset, let me say that I went along to this with very low expectations. However, I was very pleasantly surprised, not only by the score, which, after the slight disappointment of Return to Neverland having firmly anchored their soundtrack circa 2000, was really authentic to the original film. A big surprise for me was the addition of John Goodman, who turned out to perfectly cast and Haley Joel Osment as usual, great . There are also some nice touches - a parody on the Beatles and the animation is perfect, as you'd expect. Don't listen to the critics - this is an excellent <more> |
Great for the youngsters (by bubbafet2001) |
This movie is tops for the younger movie goers. It sure beats a lot of movies out there for kids. It gives the children a time that they can use their imaginations and fumble threw the story along with Mowgli. It brings me back to when I was a child and saw BALOO for the first time. I don't think my son had laughed so much at a movie. It made me feel great to see him have so much fun and the best part.....we could do it together. Something he will remember for years to come. Just like the memories I have with my dad from so many years ago. Thanks to Disney for giving us these types of <more> |
Pretty good (by hofverberg) |
This is actually a pretty good movie. Okay, it's not quite as good as the first one but I don't think anyone expected that , but it's better than I expected. Definitely worth watching - A decent storyline, and a lot of laughs. And as a side-note, it's about time that we in Sweden finally get to see a movie before it was released in America...! I wonder if that will ever happen again... |
A cute fun movie for the little ones. (by Ellie-23) |
I am not a big Disney fan, the company changes the story of to many classic tales and this is no exception. However I have a grandson who is almost 2 and he loves his video of The Jungle Book. We took him to see Jungle Book 2. He hissed at the snake, roared with the tiger and giggled at the singing vultures. Since we are a book oriented family I know he will read Kipling's Mowgli before high school. The film is cute, the Indian family is lovable, and the songs are fun. Don't go to this movie unless you like little kids songs and can enjoy being a little kid for a few minutes. Relax, <more> |
One of my favourite sequels! (by Mightyzebra) |
Genre: Cartoon, sequel of "The Jungle Book", Family.Main characters: Mowgli, Shanti, Ranjan and Baloo. I like these characters and I feel rather a lot for them. What happens: Mowgli now lives in the man-village with a mother and father and their boy Ranjan. He often sees Shanti, the girl in the village that made him come. In the jungle, there are two things that would like Mowgli to come back in two ways My thoughts: Even though this is babyish, it isn't all that similar to the book and the wolves aren't in it I prefer this to the original film! :O It is probably my <more> |
